The 40-year-old professional dancer explained that they “grew apart due to the issues.” And that it didn’t happen overnight.
Artem proposed to Nikki in 2016 after they had won the 25th season of Dancing with the Stars.
They eventually tied the knot in 2020.
Artem and Nikki welcomed their first child, Artem Chigvintsev Jr., in 2020.
Despite their split, Nikki expressed that she and Artem will always love each other and that the most important part of their lives is their son.
