Perry took to her Instagram page on Monday night to share the AI-generated images with her 207 million followers. She also revealed that her own mother had texted her, thinking the images were real.

"My mom sent me this text," Perry wrote. "She thought this was me at the Met Gala last night. I wish!!!!! AI is getting good y'all."

The 2024 Met Gala was filled with floral fashion, and Perry's AI-generated looks fit right in. In one image, she's wearing a pink floral gown with a matching headpiece. In another, she's rocking a blue floral suit with a feathered hat.

While Perry couldn't attend the Met Gala in person, she still got to enjoy the festivities from afar. And thanks to AI, she even got to see what she would have looked like if she had been there.
